Each year Alberta designates a special week to recognize and acknowledge the valuable contributions Seniors’ make to our communities. This year, our Annual Seniors’ Week is June 1 - June 7, 2020.
Construction downtown continues to move forward. Wayfinding signs have been installed to help pedestrians locate businesses in the area and sidewalks remain open.
Golfers around the province are hauling out their clubs and getting ready for the long-awaited season. After an initial facility closure in line with public health orders for COVID-19, the Stony Plain Golf Course is at liberty to open to the public.
Fences are now set up and work is underway for Phase IV of Downtown Redevelopment. A temporary turnaround has been established south of 51.
Underground work has begun at the Stony Plain Central School site. Updates will be released as work progresses.
Operating Expenditures Borrowing Bylaw. Council gave First, Second and Third Reading to the Operating Expenditures Borrowing Bylaw, a motion that would assist the Town in meeting financial obligations.

ATCO is scheduled to begin gas line work on Golf Course Road between Highway 628 and north of Brightbank Avenue. Construction will begin Monday, June 1 at 12PM and is expected to continue until early July (weather dependent).
