Alberta Transportation has opened Highway 779 south of Willow Park Road. ---.
Shred-It is a free event open to all Stony Plain residents. The event will be held at Rotary Recycling Facility, Saturday 28, 2019 from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.

The new Parkland RCMP detachment is officially open for business. To mark the event, City of Spruce Grove Mayor Stuart Houston, Town of Stony Plain Mayor William Choy and Parkland County Mayor Rodney Shaigec were on site for the inaugural flag raising at the detachment.
Trail Access Added to St John Paul II School. A crosswalk has been installed just east of the corner of Highway 779 and Willow Park Road (north entrance) to accommodate pedestrian access to St.
Road work is underway on the extention of 57 Avenue including preliminary grading and construction of the north storm water ditch. The future road will service the new Stony Plain Central school site.
Main Street, from 53 Avenue to 52 Avenue, is now open to pedestrian traffic.

Alberta Culture Days 2019 will take place from Friday, September 27 to Sunday, September 29. This province-wide celebration of arts, heritage, and culture will include a variety of activities and presentations at multiple locations in Stony Plain.
