In 2018, Stony Plain, Spruce Grove, and Parkland County met and worked together to brainstorm an approach bringing transit to the Tri-Municipal region. At last night’s Council Meeting, Council accepted the Tri- Municipal Region Transit update for information.
After our community experienced damages from flooding as a result of inclement weather this year, Administration has been researching storm rate models to account for the impacts of weather and aging infrastructure. After much deliberation and the comparing of approaches, Council has been presented with a proposal to move to a tiered flat fee model which would establish a more equitable distribution of full cost recovery.

Today, community leaders and employees of the Parkland RCMP invited members of the public to the grand opening event at the newly built detachment. The detachment, located at 91 Campsite Road, Spruce Grove, has consolidated employees from the previous Stony Plain and Spruce Grove detachments along with Traffic Services, formerly located in Edmonton and Evansburg.
